Saturday March 27th – Monthly Medal, Stroke & Putts

After more mid autumn rain (42mm) the course, and Park as a whole, had greened up and softened, once a ball landed it did not got far.  The new drains had worked very well; there was no casual water in the usual spots of the past. While two of the greens were very soft the remainder were in excellent condition.  The round began under overcast skies but after the first few holes the sun shone through and jumpers came off.  Over the final few holes a strong westerly wind blew up causing more than a few problems for the final groups as they came up the 18th.  Despite the conditions many players found it tough to return a good score.  On a generally good afternoon the results were;

Winner & March Medalist; Chris Manktelow – 109/38/71 from Scott Williams – 87/15/72, Davey Kenney – 88/15/73 & Ryan Davies – 93/20/73

Least Putts; Scott Williams – 24

NTPs; 15th – Jim Patton, 16th – Andrew Laing
