Saturday October 19th – Stableford – John Laing Shield – Qualifying Rd.

After around 50mm of rain over Thursday evening and Friday there was a deal of casual water across some areas of the course and everything had softened.  However, much of the course was in great condition and the club’s volunteers’ work had the whole of Romsey Park looking tremendous.  Early on in the round the wind, S/SW, steadied to the mid 20sKph and the sun came out;  it was a delight to be put on the park.  The conditions saw a number of players play to or better than their handicaps.  On a top day to be out on the park the results were;

1st; Steve Wilkins – 37pts C/B

2nd; Mal Mottram – 37pts C/B

3rd; Dean Kohler – 37pts
