Another strong field assembled to contest the April Medal.  Conditions were generally good, recent rains and benign autumn weather had seen excellent growth, especially in the few bare spots on some fairways.  The greens, fairways and surrounds were again in top nick.  It was great to welcome back Mick Nicholls Jnr after the recent birth of his twin girls.  Despite the conditions players struggled to break their handicaps.  One of the most amazing things about golf is that as long as you can stand still and concentrate for about 45 seconds you can still play; the oldest player in the field 85+ took out the medal.  On a top day to be out on the courts the results were;

1st & April Medalist; Mick Nicholls Snr – 98/25/73 C/B

2nd; Scott Williams – 88/15/73

3rd; Andrew Laing – 93/19/74 C/B Mal Mottram(7)/Simon Donovan(8)/Mick Squire(5)/Mitch Atlas(6)

NTPs; 15th – Mick Nicholls Snr, 16th – Mick Nicholls Jnr,

Best 2nd shot 3rd – Simon Donovan, Longest drive 4th – Mick Squire

Least Putts; Mal Mottram – 27 C/B Steve Wilkins
