Play began on a cool, windy afternoon.  The SW wind moved from the NE to the SE and then the W before settling back at the SE.  Its sat mostly sat at about 25Kph but did often gust up to 30Kph.  The whole course had weathered the hot week well and the club was really seeing the benefits of Santa Ana couch on the fairways.  The greens and surrounds were in great condition, for the 1st time the corellas had moved on in mid-February and much of their damage was well on the way to being repaired. Despite the wind a number of players were able to post scores well under their handicaps.  On a cool, windy afternoon the resists were.
