Brilliant sunshine to steady rain and back again had golfers reaching alternatively for sunscreen and wet weather gear.  The course is in unbelievable condition considering the amount of work across the park.  The greens have generally recovered well from the annual coring and the fairways are looking great. Volunteers were out in force today tidying up and mowing, mowing, mowing.  Thanks to each and every one of our volunteers for all the work they do to keep our course, and Romsey Park, in tip top condition. The Canadian Foursomes was the event of the day with teams of two taking alternate shots to the hole. This challenging format was enjoyed by all and certainly had golfers thinking as they approached the greens from some interesting and unfamiliar positions. The day’s results were;
1st; Darlene Baker/Rob Slade – 89/15/74
2nd; Bruce Robb/Hugh Williams – 95/18/77
3rd; Jenny Hartley/Beryl Cole – 101/19.5/81.5
