Thursday June 22nd – Shirley Deane Memorial 4BBB – Nagambie G. C.

On a fine winter’s day Wendy and Darlene set off for Nagambie to play in the Shirley Deane Memorial 4BBB.  It was an overcast but pleasantly windless day. The course was fairly dry with a surprising amount of run for this time of year . The greens were true with Wendy never having more than a two putt all day.

The winners on the day were a couple of young locals with an impressive score of 51 points.  Wendy and Darlene were pleased and surprised to be announced as the runners up with 47 points. Wendy topped off a very good day of golf by winning nearest the pin on one of the par threes.
