Monday October 29th – DDGA Women’s 27-hole Championship – Kilmore G. C.

The added attraction of playing 27 holes encouraged a team of 4 to travel to Kilmore G. C. to play in the Dalhousie District women’s 27-Hole Championship.  Those representing Romsey were Beryl Cole, Jenny Hartley, Wendy Gosden and Darlene Baker.
There was a strong blustery wind at the start of the day that reduced a little toward the afternoon but other than that conditions were quite good.  Our Romsey players played some great holes recording plenty of pars and a birdie between them but unfortunately couldn’t maintain that standard over the 27 holes. The eventual winner on the day was Gail Leigh from Marysville.  The district Champion of Champions was also played yesterday and to top off a great day Gail also won this event – well done Gail !
