Monday June 3rd – DDGA Pennant Finals – Euroa G. C.

Dalhousie District Golf Association 2019 Women’s Pennant Finals

Steady rain was falling in Romsey as the RGC team headed to Euroa to take on Trentham in their final of the 2019 DDGA Pennant Season.  With all three divisions playing their finals a smooth start was important. Euroa was in top nick with good cover on the fairways and the usually high quality greens.  Recent rain had made the course a little soft so all players lost distance off the tee, approach shots had to be well judged or risked dropping and stopping well short of the green.  Defending a title is always difficult; this year the Romsey women took up that challenge losing only in Rd 1 to Lancefield on their way to a very successful final.  RGC results were; Darlene Baker -Sq, Jenny Hartley – W4/3, Beryl Cole – W7/5, Kath Jekabsons – W4/2 & Elaine Scanlon – W3/1

Overall Results were;

Division 1 – Seymour D Alexandra – 3.5/1.5

Division 2 – Marysville D Healesville – 3.5/1.5

Division 3 – Romsey D Trentham – 4.5/.5
