Wednesday August 23rd – Stableford

The stableford round started early with an 8.30am  tee off to allow for an earlier than normal finish. The early start meant the going was quite heavy for the first few holes and the wet fairways made for a bit of a trudge for those pushing their buggies. Conditions did improve when the sun broke through and the golf was far more enjoyable for all.  After the round we were joined by Helene Newnham, one of the club’s Life Members,  Everyone shared a three course lunch to celebrate Helene’s 80th birthday. Much of the reminiscing included Helene’s early years in Romsey and her treasured involvement in the golf club. The day’s results were;
