Wednesday January 1st – New Year’s Day Stableford

Play began at 8.30 with the greens and surrounds still a little wet from the night’s irrigation; putting was tough until the sun came out.  As the round progressed the day warmed and it was very pleasant tp be out on the park.  Unfortunately someone had left the “motion activated sprinklers” on the 6th green off so the birds had caused a great deal of damage to that green.  While many players found trouble again and again a few managed excellent rounds.  On  top morning to be out for a walk, with or without clubs, the results were;

1st; Sherif Abdel-Sayed (34) – 40 pts

2nd; Chris Manktelow (40) – 39 pts

3rd; Lis Manktelow (32) – 38 pts

NTPs; 15th  – Davey Kenney, Eagle on the 14th – Mal Mottram
