Perfect spring weather greeted a field of 56 at the Isabella Betts Memorial Tournament in Yea.  Romsey Golf was represented by Wendy Gosden, Beryl Cole and Darlene Baker. Playing in groups of three the field moved well across the course with very few delays. Negotiating the railing of the horse racing track was an interesting aspect of the game but if you did happen to hit the rails you were able to replay the shot without penalty.  The course was in great condition; many of those who had played before feeling Yea G. C. was in the best they’d seen.  The greens were in good condition too with a few of them being quite tricky due to their slope and undulations.

Darlene had the best round of the day of the Romsey women with 97/23/74 also winning nearest the pin on the 2nd hole.
