Thursday November 25th – DDGA Women’s Championships – Alexandra G. C.

The Dalhousie District Championships were held at Alexandra Golf Club having been delayed due to Covid. The forecast did not look good with 30 mms of rain expected but the rain held off with humid but fine conditions for the duration of the round.  The course was presented in great condition with a nice cover of grass on the fairways and the greens very well prepared.
The field was smaller than previous years but all were happy to have the chance to catch up and play golf together. Darlene and Jenny represented Romsey, both played in B Grade.
The Open Champion was Gail Leigh from Marysville with 85 gross and Barb Doyle was thrilled to win the B Grade Scratch as well as the Mary Dockery Trophy for best handicap score of the day 89/18/71. Our friend from Lancefield, Kaylene Cruise had a lovely day and won C Grade Scratch 101/27/74.
