The Woodend course was in very good condition for the Ruby McKenzie Salver. The fairways had softened up with the recent rain and had very little run and the greens were in top condition. The wind was testing at times and the slopes and undulations made for some interesting scoring. Jenny Coleman ( Marysville) had the best score of the day with 36 points and Romsey’s Wendy Gosden had the next equal best of 33.
Winner of the Salver; Marysville – with a total of 91 points

Runner’s up; Romsey – Wendy Gosden, Beryl Cole and Darlene Baker.

Jenny Hartley and Elaine Scanlon also represented Romsey on the day.
Darlene (30 points) was runner up to Sue Bryne on a countback in A Grade and Wendy was equal second in B Grade.  Those results earned Wendy 4 Player of the Year points and 1 point to Darlene.
