The last Dalhousie tournament before a winter hiatus was held at Avenel in perfect late autumn conditions. A low hanging fog in the surrounding area made for a picturesque start to a cold but sunny day.  The atmosphere and ground was heavy to begin the day but as the sun came out and the dew dried off conditions became more conducive to scoring well in the Stableford event. A strong field, including the team of Beryl Cole, Wendy Gosden and Darlene Baker from Romsey, enjoyed their round of golf and appreciated the hospitality of the Avenel Golf Club members. Euroa were the team to take best advantage of the conditions securing their second win in recent times.  They were worthy winners of the Mabel Vearing Silver Salver.
