Thursday August 31st – Broadford Bowl

Beryl Cole, Wendy Gosden and Darlene Baker represented Romsey Golf Club at the 2017 Broadford Bowl . Weather conditions were perfect; bright and sunny with not a breath of wind. There were preferred lies through the green and quite often clumps of mud had to be cleaned off the ball. The greens were quite fast and some, depending on what side of the hole you were on, were very tricky indeed. In a field of 56 golfers scoring was difficult with only four players scoring 30 or above.  Darlene managed to win nearest the pin on one of the par threes.

The 2017 Bowl  winners were a team from Broadford.  Everyone enjoyed a lovely lunch after the round.
