Sunday November 21st – Graeme Clement Open

Another day where the weather was far better than forecast earlier in the week. Players from Lancefield, Castlemaine, Rich River, Strathbogie, Romsey, Mt Macedon, Woodend and Fox Hills took to the course under clear, sunny conditions but with a gusting wind from the Sth/SE. The course was again in top nick but the smaller greens kept everyone honest, an incorrect decision on the approach club and you were over the back. The morning round saw excellent scores from Jim Hynes (48) and Alex Fraser, Dennis Davenport & Brad Klaaysen (51) and Andrew Clement (52).

The sun came out for the afternoon but the wind blew up making for a more than challenging round. Jim Hynes continued his excellent form (48), Mal Mottram (49), Alex Fraser & Mick Squire (50) and Jack McDonald (51).

RGC president, Anthony Lakey thanked all those who had put in so much work preparing and serving the food, looking after drinks, working to prepare the course and working to plan and organise the weekend’s events. Life members Bruce Robb, Peter Scanlon and John Laing were called upon to assist with the presentations. Many members of the Clement family were on hand to enjoy the afternoon and to present the Graeme Clement perpetual shield. On a very enjoyable day the results were:
