Sunday May 4th – DDGA Sunday Pennant Finals.

The RGC Div 3 handicap team, skippered by Scott Williams, had an 8.30am hit-off at Woodend G. C.   Cold morning air and another heavy dew pulled all shots up short but equally, gave a good line on the early greens.  The predicted top temperature of 20C was not to arrive until well after the RGC final but the hilly nature of the course had many players puffing but warm for most of the round.  There was an ~20Kph wind from NE/NNE but this appeared to have little effect on the golf. The final, against Broadford, was going to be a tough slog with neither side prepared to give any ground. It was tight all day and with the first four matches all sqauare at two each the crowd began following Scott’s final match, in the end the RGC boys were able to pull through with a win.  Results were;
