Sunday May 23rd – DDGA Men’s Pennant Finals – Whittlesea G. C.

For the first time in a number of years RGC had made the Men’s Pennant Final.  Whittlesea G. C., a little over 6,000m long with many water hazards was going to test all players.  The day was perfect with plenty of sun and almost no wind however, the course was a little soft in places.  Laying up on the par 5s was the smart move but many golfers decided to go for the green in two and came to grief in the water.  It was not a good day for RGC with the team losing to Hidden Valley 5.5/1.5.  RGC results were;

Losses to; Chris vanDerVliet, Keith Hocking, Dave Kenney, Steve Wilkins, All Sq; Mal Mottram and Win to Mitch Atlas.

The whole team is to be congratulated on a great year.  The whole club is proud of their performance.
