After two days  of coring, topdressing and seeding and carrying out numerous maintenance and improvement works at the annual working bee there were more than a few weary members who fronted for the club’s “AFL Grand Final Social Ambrose” event.  After the coring the greens were bumpy but fairly true however, the fairways and surrounds were in top condition.   Conditions were varied with the sun shining through every now and then, the overcast sky keeping the temperature down and a gusting SW wind keeping everyone a little nervous when approaching the greens. On a difficult day on course four teams recorded scores well under par, others found the conditions just a bit too tough.  By 4.45 everyone was well on their way home to warm up and get organised for the Granny.
