Saturday September 21st – September Medal, stroke & putts
Steady drizzle was falling as the players arrived for the September Medal. There was a consistent NW wind pushing up to 30Kph and the temperature snuck up to 12C. As the round progressed the sun came out and, despite a few showers towards the end of the round, the afternoon became far more pleasant. However, the rougher weather over the final few holes made the 15th and 16th par 3s extremely difficult to hit. Many players found the going very tough and only two were able to equal or better their handicaps. On a generally nice day to be out on the par the results were;
1st; September Medalist; Mal Mottram – 79/9/70
2nd; Ben Owen – 86/14/72
3rd; John Freestone – 130/29/74
NTPs; 1st – Mal Mottram, Best 2nd shot 3rd – Dean Kohler, Longest Drive – Mal Mottram
Least Putts; Luke Lyons – 28
