Saturday November 27th – November Medal (stroke & putts) & John Laing Shield Qualifying

The field teed off under dark, overcast skies with a steady southerly wind however, players were hopeful of the sun returning later in the afternoon.  By the half way mark the sun had come out, the jumpers came off and everyone enjoyed a top afternoon.  It was a day of surprises, Scott Williams put his drive on the 2nd into the dam, 3rd shot not much better then from about 75m out rolled it into the hole.  Andrew Clement played a top front nine and all was going well on the back nine until the 16th where his ball became stuck up a pine tree, sadly no relief!  Michael Nicholls Jnr picked up two top birdies on the 1st and 3rd and Bob McLennan showed just how valuable a break from the game can be, he played excellent golf for the whole round. On a top afternoon to be out on the park the results were;
