Saturday March 8th – 4BBB Stableford

Another hot, dry day with a northerly wind pushing into the 40sKph early then dropping back to the mid 20sKph.  There was plenty of run and many players found themselves looking for a ball well short of its final location.  The greens had held up well and, apart from the normal (for this time of year) bird damage were in good condition and had consistent speed.  On a hot, dry day the results were;

1st; Mal Mottram (8)/Steve Hehir (18) – 50 pts

2nd; Ben Owen (9)/John Beswick (24) – 47 pts

3rd; Bob McLennan (15)/John Freestone (30) – 45 pts C/B

NTPs; 1st – Steve Hehir, 15th – Mitch Atlas, 16th – Mitch Atlas, D&P 3rd – Mitch Atlas, Longest Drive 6th – Mitch Atlas

Special mention to Mick Nicholls Snr who, at the age of 86 and playing off 24, scored 43 pts
