After receiving a good downpour over Friday night the course had freshened up, there was more water in the dams and the Park’s drains had cleared most surface water.  The softer fairways meant that players were allowed to “Mark, Lift, Clean & Replace” to a handspan on the fairway played.  A number of regulars were taking part in the 19th Relay For Life at Lancefield Park so numbers were slightly down on recent weeks.  Play got underway in overcast and steamy conditions, as the round progressed a slight mist settled which, over the final few holes turned, to steady drizzle.  The format, 4Ball Aggregate Stableford, saw some excellent individual performances but to win the day both players had to score close to, or better than, their handicaps.  In the end it came down to a count-back to decide the outcome.  On a day of changing conditions the results were.
