Players found beautiful, clear skies and virtually no wind as they teed off in the club’s Stableford competition. There was still a heavy dew on many fairways and some greens making for shorter drives and tricky putts. Mind you, on a few greens, earlier players did leave a clearly marked line to the cup.  During the early holes there was a short spell of gentle breezes from the south followed by a burst of gusting NW winds but the wind died down after about the 7th hole.  One golfer had to declare his drive on the 401m, 8th a “Lost Ball”.  As the others in his group approached the green there was his ball about two metres from the cup, “Not Happy Jan!”.  The round was a “Golf 4 a Cause” day with the club raising $110.00 for cancer research.  On a beautiful, sunny, early winter’s afternoon the results were;
