Saturday June 28th – June Medal, stroke & putts
After another cold week, Saturday was no different. When the club’s June Medal began, the thermometer read 7°C. It rose to 8°C early in the round, then quietly slipped back down again. There was cold air, a 20 kph wind from the north-west/north, and the course was soft. Those who could drive the ball long and high certainly had an advantage over the rest of the field. However, despite this, some excellent golf was played and good scores were achieved. The results on this very cold day were:
1st & June Medalist; Mick Squire – 74/5/69
2nd; Luke Lyons – 77/7/70
3rd; Nathan Moroney – 89/17/72
NTPs; 7th/16th – Shaun Scales, 11th – Mick Squire
Least Putts; 27 – Scott Williams
June 2025 Medalist, Mick Squire.
