Saturday July 26th – July Medal, stroke & putts

Given the predicted rain later in the day, a start time of 8:30 for 9:00 was arranged. There was some sunshine and the temperature crept up to around 7°C. Play began in steady drizzle, which continued for much of the round. However, to remind everyone that it was winter, there were also bursts of heavier rain that, and the northerly wind which blew up to speeds of 40 to 55 kph, combined with the generally soft course, made the morning all the more challenging. Nevertheless, good golfers will adapt to the conditions and do their best to overcome them. The results on this wet, cold and windy morning were:
