With no rain for almost a week, some wind and a few sunny days the course had dried considerably. Unfortunately both the sixth and seventh holes were still very heavy but overall the course was much improved. We were very pleased to  welcome a number of local golfers whose home clubs were in the lock down areas.  It was good to hear their comments on the layout and the challenges it provided.  The round saw short periods of sun but generally it was overcast with winds which moved from the Sth to the NW.  The 4B Multiplier Stableford format allows teams to benefit when both players have a good hole but should one member have a wipe then the team score is zero.  The day also saw the final semi-final of the John Laing Shield.  This was generally a tight affair with neither player getting away until the final few holes.  On a cool, overcast afternoon the results were;

Winner 4B Multiplier Stableford; Pat Chisholm (11)/Scott Williams (16) – 53 pts, Andrew Clement (9)/Toby Clement (24) – 48 pts & Michael Squire (3)/Joshua Squire (54) – 48 pts
