Saturday August 3rd – W. E. Tom Shield Quarter-finals & stroke

The round began on a cold afternoon with NNE winds in the mid to low teens.  The recent sunnier afternoons had dried much of the Park allowing the fairway and surrounds mowers to get on the course for the first time in five weeks.   The stroke field hit-off after the quarter-finalists of the W. E Tom Shield.  With the temperature pushing up above 10C many players put in good rounds however, one player “took the course apart” recording his best ever “Off the beater” score.  On a cool, reasonably still afternoon the results were;

1st; Luke Lyons – 73/9/64

2nd; Dylan Harris – 79/8/71

3rd; 88/15/73
