Saturday August 31st – August Medal, stroke & putts

Players faced intermittent rain and NW winds gusting  from  35Kph to 45Kph as they headed out for the August Medal; it was going to be a challenging round.  The first few holes were reasonably clear then the conditions returned to short periods  of heavy rain and very strong winds making the chance of a NTP often depend on a lull in the weather.  However, despite the conditions many golfers did very well and played close to their handicaps.  On a wet and windy afternoon the results were;

1st & August Medalist; – Zac Scales – 110/36/74  C/B

2nd; Simon Donovan – 84/10/74

3rd; David Jones – 99/23/76

NTPs; 15th – Davey Kenney, 16th – Scott Williams, Drive & Pitch 3rd – Simon Donovan, Longest Drive 4th – Davey Kenney,

Least Putts; Scott Williams – 29
