Monday May 24th – Rd 5 2021 Women’s Pennant

Romsey Golf Club hosted the final round of Women’s Division 2 Pennant, which eventually determined which club would play in the Final against Romsey.  The competition was tight with three of the four teams in with a chance of getting to the final.  Trentham defeated Euroa 3 1/2 – 1 1/2 and Broadford had their first win defeating Lancefield by the same margin.
The Euroa team had a few members who hadn’t played at Romsey before and they were complimentary about the condition of the course. The golfers who were familiar with the course thanked Romsey on presenting the course in tiptop condition and commented on the surprising speed of the greens!
The win to Trentham took them to equal second on the ladder with a count-back of ‘games won‘ needed to differentiate them from Lancefield, with Lancefield winning that count-back by the smallest of margins.   On a top day for golf the results were;

Broadford D Lancefield – 3.5/1.5

Trentham D Euroa – 3.5/1.5
