Thanks to our band of volunteers the course was in tip top condition for the Medal of Medallist Round. The greens were mown yesterday and were running true with some challenging pin placements . The rough had also been mown recently and along with perfect weather made for very pleasant round of golf.
Wendy Gosden had a lovely chip in for a birdie on the par three 16th to enhance her score.
One duffer left her 9 iron on the side of the 12th green and had to be creative with the use of her other clubs for the rest of her round meaning she wasn’t able to take advantage of the wonderful conditions!!!!
Jenny Hartley however took full advantage keeping the ball on the fairway throughout the round, chipping consistently and having only 28 putts for the day. Her wonderful score of 91/24/67 makes her this year’s Medal of Medallists and the Monthly Medalist – great round Jenny.
