Thursday May 17th – Alexandra Bowl – Alexandra G. C.

The weather for the Alexandra Bowl was near perfect; an eerily still and overcast day, voices could easily be heard across the course as players manoeuvred their way around the racetrack and golf course.  The recent rains had made the fairways were quite heavy and balls would pick up mud so preferred lie “to within a card length of the ball” was given .  The greens were more than challenging, putting was particularly tricky.  A deft touch was needed to chip anywhere near the hole to reduce the danger and ensure a short putt.  RGC was well represented by Pam Drummond, Darlene Baker and Jenny Hartley.  The 2018 Alexandra Bowl winners were;
 Yea  – Adrienne Anglin, Di Elliot and Karen Sangster – 94 points on a countback from Mansfield.
