A wonderful early spring day for the club’s 2nd “Golf for a Cause” event, a $10.00 round with $5.00 from each player going to cancer research.  Uneven numbers meant one group of three where everyone paired with everyone else.  The course was generally in good condition however there were still many bare patches on some fairways while other fairways had lush cover.  Life member, Bruce Robb, had done a tremendous job keeping the rough well trimmed, he even found some time to cut a few fairways as well!  As the round progressed the day cooled and the sky clouded over; the back nine proved much more challenging.  Throughout the round  the course echoed with cheers and horns from the RDFL preliminary final sadly the golf was nowhere near that close as, despite the generally good conditions, only one player was able to better his handicap.  On a day where the front nine was played in beautiful conditions and the back nine was much tougher the results were;
