After a mostly sunny dry week rain on Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning meant more soft fairways, mud on balls and numerous plugged shots.  The round began under overcast skies but this soon lifted and the sun shone through giving golfers the hope of a pleasant afternoon on course however, conditions soon changed with an intermittent southerly wind and three bouts of freezing rain, each lasting around 30 minutes.  Many players who had done well over the first few holes suddenly found their rounds crumbling, freezing hands and wet grips saw shots well wide of the green and numerous putts just seemed to slip passed the cup.  Under these tough conditions only two players were able to better their handicaps.  On a very challenging day on course the results were;

Winner; Scott Williams (19) – 37 pts C/B from Andrew Clement (10) & Mick Nicholls Snr (23) – 34 pts

NTPs; 1st – Jim Patton, 15th – Mal Mottram
