Golf began on a beautiful spring day with a gentle northerly breeze blowing.  After two weeks of sun and a little rain Romsey Park was in top nick however the growth across the course was astounding and members had to work very hard to keep the grass under control.  Green Keeper’s Revenge saw many pins in unusually challenging locations, a little too much power in the putt and the ball was well off the green.  Once players got to the greens they also had to compete against the deep scarifying so it was quite a challenge to post a good score; another  round of Ambrose seemed the perfect solution.  Teams of three or four took up the challenge.  The breeze blew up and moved the other NE causing problems on a number of holes.  A few teams had runs of birdies but were then forced to take that less that good drive just to meet the Ambrose rules.  The roughish greens and more than optimistic drives and approach shots found many groups in trouble looking for that miracle shot to save par.  On a beautiful spring day the results were;
