A spot of rain late on Friday evening followed by steady drizzle over most of Saturday morning made for another more than challenging round.  The field teed off to lush fairways, top surrounds and greens in very good condition however, anyone who found themselves in the wet rough had to be very careful or they would be playing the next shot just a few metres closer to the hole.  There were some soggy, low spots on a few of the fairways but players usually got good value for well struck shots.  The greens held well although the moisture certainly tested everyone’s patience with numerous putts pulling up well short of the cup.  By mid round the breeze had picked up and swung to the south making the 6th a very long hole and putting pressure on drives up the 18th where these is an in course out of bounds.  On a challenging afternoon the results were.
