After the deep coring of the greens on Friday March 8th the course was more than challenging.  Getting to the green as virtually no different to other weeks but once on there things really changed.  Players had to attack the cup or risk being well short  and many well struck putts seemed to be on line only to take a late swerve and miss the cup.  the day wore on the sun dried the greens and the accompanying layer of sand meaning the back nine saw most players’ chips and putts end up well passed the cup.  The afternoon ended up quite a lot hotter than expected and a very brief cool change, with NE a breeze, blew in as the final groups were heading for home.  ON a hot and sandy course the results were;
