While par competitions can often deter some golfers, 4BBB Par is more attractive and a good sized field turned up to take on both the course and the very cold conditions.  With over 30mm of rain during the week the course was soft but there was excellent growth, especially on the fairways.  The cold afternoon saw players adopt different methods to keep warm and play fluently, one pair tried the “Bailey’s” method but this was not successful, others tried hand warmers or thick gloves.  The round was made more difficult by a flukey wind that shifted, quite suddenly, from the south to the west and back again causing numerous problems with drives and approach shots. Many pairs seemed set up for a good result when the wind intervened seeing balls move ball sideways, drop well short or fly long over the green.  On a  cold and windy afternoon the results were;
