Saturday December 22nd – Ambrose

A strong field took to the course for the penultimate round of the year, Ambrose.  Teams of three and four hit-off on a cool, overcast afternoon.  Teams who got one good drive away on a hole often found the next few drives all over the place and players went for extra distance.  With each player having to record three or four drives a few teams were in trouble as they headed down the final few holes and found the location of their second shot was less than opportune.  During the round the wind blew strongly from the south then the east and almost anywhere between; players often got caught by a gust seeing a well aimed and well played shot veer sharply away from the green.  The greens were in top nick however, on a few, dodging the little nuggets left by the ducks, was quite a challenge.  As the round drew to a close the sun came out, the jumpers came off making for a very pleasant end to the day.  On a cool, windy afternoon the results were;
