Monday March 26th – DDGA – Foursomes – Lancefield G. C.

Another wonderful Dalhousie event saw 58 players take to the course at Lancefield for the DDGA Foursomes Championships. These Championships began in 1962 and have been played every year since except for one cancellation due to extreme weather.  The course was in lovely condition; the very recent rain had softened the course nicely and allowed golfers to attack the pin with confidence.  Drives down the middle of the fairway were rewarded with some summer run although not as much as in recent weeks.
Scratch Winners; Jess Pickwick and Sandy Wicking (Kilmore G. C.)  84, a fantastic foursomes effort.

Handicap winners;  Bev Bellman and Helen Howard (Marysville G. C.) – 98/24.5/73.5.
RGC was well represented, Elaine Scanlon/Jenny Hartley, Wendy Gosden/ Darlene Baker and Lorraine Robb/Pam Drummond. Lorraine and Pam had the best of the Romsey scores coming fourth overall with 108/31.5/76.5.
